Install VIPKid Teach for iPad app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

The only thing I use - but has issues

Overall, I like this app and the ability to be highly mobile and teach 100% on my ipad. It’s a all I use. I don’t own a PC. HOWEVER - it is buggy.
1. When switching to my next class - the camera never works. I have to shut he app down and get back into the app between every class.
2. About 1/3 of the time upon reopening the app, the app crashes several times before it lets me in. This has caused me to start classes a few seconds late many times. I often have to shut it down and restart it several times before it will let me in the classroom.
3. Some teachers complain that it is portrait - this doesn’t bother me. I like it because having the camera centered at the top works well with my lighting setup. Landscape would have the camera on the side, which might be fine - but I prefer the portrait orientation.

I love teaching from this app. Or should I say, I loved teaching from this app. I’ve taught over 800-classes, but two weeks ago, I started having issues with the student not being able to see me when my camera was open. I know it was not my internet issue as my speed was great and my ping was 25. This happened for 4-days. I would have to reload the class 2 or 3-times and then it would usually work. I received a teacher IT, from continually having this issue. I started signing on early to deal with the issue, so that when the class started I had already switched lines and/or reloaded the class multiple times. I gave up and have since gone back to using my laptop... I really love using the iPad. Please fix this issue so I can start using it again. If it. Didn’t have this problem it would have 5-stars.

iOS13 makes this unreliable

I have taught with this app for almost three years now without fail. After I upgraded to iOS13, it does not work. Sometimes it won’t let me enter a class, sometimes when I enter, I have black and green lines appearing where my camera is, sometimes I have no sound. I can’t switch lines myself and I am forced to plug in headphones at times. I’ve never had this much issue witt this app. I could care less about landscape mode. Just give me back my reliable backup and don’t make it so difficult to do our jobs.

App now has multiple IT issues

This app was fantastic until the latest update. During my recent classes my students camera will go white several times even though I have a Wi-Fi connection and my camera and mic are working. Also, I will be instructing student to Circle an object and I won’t see them circle it. However, when I refresh, it turns out they had circled it and their circle did not appear on my side. I too have been charged a teacher IT problem when I’m not aware of it during class. I have watched my classes afterwards and discovered that my audio or video are not working well and there’s no way I can know during class unless the student calls for a fireman. Please the app, update the app so teachers are not charged for IT problems they are not aware of. This app is the cause of class IT issues, not teacher Wi-Fi or iPad.
