It’s eh...
By Cancerfaq (Pcmac user)
I’d just like to say that I’ve just recently gotten back to using this speaker. Honestly I like the nice lights it provides and the audio is pretty nice. But I’d like to make a few requests. 1. I feel like switching between WiFi networks is a bit annoying. I’d always have to go to the this app network, but I won’t have any WiFi. This causes people to keep on farting around networks so they can do stuff on the the app app and other apps. Maybe if you could connect with Bluetooth instead of WiFi, I would like it more. 2. Many people and I use Apple Music. You can have many different songs from many different artists for around $10 a month. It’s not too bad. But, I can’t access my Apple Music. The app would just say I can’t play it, and I can only play music I have permanently bought. Fixing that problem would be nice. 3. iHeart Radio. Since I couldn’t access my Apple Music, I turned over to iHeart Radio. I had a previous account I could’ve used, but it was logging in through Google; which the the app app can’t do. I tried creating a brand new account but I’d always get denied. A blank button would appear on the screen and would lead to nothing if you pressed it. So if you could fix the sign up problem and input buttons where we can log in through Google and Facebook, that’d be great.

Liking it so far
By Bo yo1 23 (Pcmac user)
I just got my this app and I’m digging it. I’m about to be getting a bunch of smart home stuff to control my room with (I’ll update when I’ve used those and say if they are good).
The colors are nice and the dimming of the screen and colors is nice, I just wish that the color strip on the bottom and the screen dimmed together by the same button on the top of the device.
I’ve run into two annoying bugs so far and they are really effecting how I like to use the clock.
1) none of my music plays through the local function in the the app app. I have to use bluetooth to use my phones music. When I go to play a song through the built in app, it just keeps skipping through the songs not playing a single one of them, then it says it can’t play my song. I know that’s not huge but it’s annoying having to connect to Bluetooth every time I want to play music.
2) and this one is really throwing me for a loop. Alexa’s voice and the sound for the alarm clock have to be set under the same volume. I’m a heavy sleeper so I need the alarm clock set 20+ but I, in no way need Alexa yelling through my whole house at those volumes. I need Alexa and the alarms to be able to have separate volume controls. So when I ask Alexa a question I don’t have to stand away from her as to not blow my ear drums out. I also don’t want to have to continually change the volume up before I go to bed and then down after I wake up.
GIVE US SEPARATE VOLUME CONTROLS!

Ugghhhh
By GamerMom223 (Pcmac user)
My old modem broke so I set up a new one with an entirely new name and password. I knew I’d have to reconnect my AVS16, so I went into the app, verified that it ONLY had the new info and got started. And, for the record, my WiFi names went from being a Firefly reference to a Monty Python reference, so there was absolutely no chance of confusion.
New network and password verified and the device still wouldn’t connect. We tried for two hours and factory reset it twice. Nothing. So, I called customer service the next morning and got treated like an idiot baby. She kept asking me to verify that I wasn’t connected to my old network and wouldn’t listen when I tried to explain that the network literally doesn’t exist. I got so frustrated and tired of being belittled - including me trying to answer a question and her responding “I know what the app page says so you don’t need to tell me” - I just hung up on her.
I loved this product but now I’m wishing I hadn’t wasted my money.

Great, not perfect
By j67i8 (Pcmac user)
This device is great, yet whenever I’m on Bluetooth and I ask Alexa a question it turns off the Bluetooth and I have to reconnect my device and press the Bluetooth button again. I know this isn’t with my network or phone because I’ve tried other devices and the same thing has happened, please fix this.
