App Accessibility
By Diane B2 (Pcmac user)
I work with children who are visually impaired and am reviewing educational apps to find ones that are accessible. This app is self-voicing and does not require VoiceOver compatibility and blind students can tap anywhere on the screen to activate the game. In Level 1, each word is spoken and accompanied by an intriguing sound. However, the printed word is not spelled out loud, is not accessible with VoiceOver (which means the word is not accessible with a braille display). In Level 2, when a student taps the block, the block is announced and is automatically matched with the next block that is tapped. A blind student needs to have the block announced and then tap again to select it as a match. Another option would be to have a specific sound associated with each block; the first tap would activate the sound and the second tap would select that sound to be matched. Another option is when the page loads, the associated sounds are automatically heard - in order - so the student can listen and knows the order of the blocks so that he can select the desired two blocks to be matched. Some of the Fisher Price apps are accessible with a little exploration/training, such as the app & Learn Animal Sounds. Please consider accessibility when designing all your apps! Thank you!

This app seems to work every other day or when I am not around. When it does work it is effective.

Okay game except for poorly placed arrow
By MistiEyes (Pcmac user)
This game would be wonderful if my son could actually play it. Instead he constantly taps the poorly placed "back" arrow that's located right next to the playable area in all stages. Tapping the arrow takes you back to the main page., from which I have to reopen stage 1 for him. That's so annoying. Hide or move the back arrow so it can't be tapped that easily and I will gladly increase my star rating.
