What is Kerberos Ticket Autorenewal?
The Kerberos Ticket Renewer app is designed to keep Kerberos tickets always up-to-date by automatically refreshing them using the saved password. This app is particularly useful in corporate environments where Kerberos is used as a mechanism behind Single Sign-On (SSO) to allow users to access intranet resources without entering a password every time.
1. • If you choose not to save any password for the ticket, the app will still use passwordless renewal (`kinit -R`) when possible, keeping the ticket actual until maximum renewable lifetime of the ticket runs out.
2. • Automatic Ticket Renewal — if a ticket expires (or disappears for any reason) the app will instantly get another one using the password saved in Keychain.
