1. بحر الثقافة هي مؤسسة غير ربحية أطلقتها سمو الشيخة روضة بنت محمد بن خالد آل نهيان بدعم ومساهمة من أخواتها سمو الشيخة شيخة بنت محمد بن خالد آل نهيان وسمو الشيخة ميثاء بنت محمد بن خالد آل نهيان، وذلك من خلال رؤية تهدف إلى تطوير المهارات الثقافية والمعرفية للمجتمع الإماراتي وفق برنامج أدبي وفني متكامل، وبناء الجسور الثقافية والفكرية والمعرفية بين الإمارات والعالم.

2. بعد مرور عدة أعوام، وتحديداً في عام 2013، انتقل بحر الثقافة ليصبح مؤسسة تسهم بشكل واسع في إثراء المشهد الثقافي الإماراتي.

3. كان صالون بحر الثقافة هو النواة الأولى لهذه المبادرة إذ انطلق كملتقى أدبي يناقش أعمال روائية وذلك في عام 2004م.

4. وجاءت النتائج تطويراً للمهارات الثقافية والمعرفية في المجتمع الإماراتي.

5. وتحقيقاً للأهداف والرؤية الاستراتيجية تحرص المؤسسة على المشاركة في برامج ومشاريع ثقافية متنوعة في الدولة.

6. ففتحت أبواب الحوار مع المبدعين في شتى المجالات، وتقدم الدعم بمختلف أشكاله لهم.
