Software Features and Description

1. Unique was made for fun and vibes: Analogue sound, intense modulation and a killer set of features, delivering an amazing sonic spectrum that’s full of character: Classy sounds, powerful, warm… sometimes gritty.

2. Standards aside, the actual intention behind this project, the Vowel Filter, also became its outstanding feature: string together two or four vowel formants and play them back in a multitude of ways.

3. The sound springs to life when it hits the filter section.

4. Needless to say, analogue high-pass, low-pass and band-pass varieties are in place, along with a comb filter.

5. Once you’ve built your sound, there’s tons of sound polish in two chained multi-effect units.

6. Each of the 2 oscillators offers a selection of 5 waveforms: sawtooth and pulse waves are here, along with noise, triple saw and triple FM waves.

7. There's also an additional sub-oscillator strapped into the master section for added oomph.

8. The internal controllers will bring in the dynamics: an LFO and an envelope, there's a recordable XY field & a sequencer.

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Unique on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Unique"
The search will reveal the Unique for iPad - Analog Synth app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Unique is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Unique.
Now enjoy Unique on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Unique" » then Click "Install".

The most sluggish and laggy synth on iOS

I have been very patiently waiting since its release, hoping for an update to fix the crazy laggy and sluggish UI on 'newer' devices. But after all this time it seems it has still been ignored by the developer. I reduced my rating because of this. If you read also the reviews of their iPhone version you will find the same complaints from users. I own an iPadPro 9.7 with 256GB and even the most demanding apps run extremely smooth on it, except for this one. I own all other SugarBytes apps which run smoothly as well, so this is their worst product so far in my opinion. Sorry for the harsh words, but they have been giving the benefit of the doubt for a very long time since the release of this app but have done nothing in the mean time about all the many complaints of users. Still no update, no fix, no AU.... NO STARS!
It’s lagging bad on iPad Pros

Edit: None of the below have been addressed, another thing to add is that the onscreen keys are lagging real bad when trying to play something faster. This is on the 10,5” iPad Pro. —— this app is a classic desktop plugin synth. It has its own sound, and will provide some new this app timbres in iOS land. It's great, amazing, awesome yada ya da etc, except for one thing... Look. At. The. Keyboard. It's 1 octave. You literally can't play the thing. 2 octaves is bare minimum, up to 2,5-3 octaves should be in the options. I'm scratching my head here as this is the first Sugar Bytes app with a new touchscreen friendly facelift. That and the fact that the actual synth is great. I'll update my review when I can play this beautiful synth.
Latency problems

The update helps a bit and turning the pitch Lfo off helps the latency issue a little bit. The keyboard is still not completely in sync with programs. The sounds and arpreggiator are great. I knocked it up 2 stars. I still have not tried with Bluetooth midi since the update but it could help too. I will rate this 5 stars when latency is unoticable
Not impressed

I have just installed this and going thru the default patches, they all sound the same. Each one is a slight variation of the last and not inspiring, boring is what comes to mind. Patches should showcase a synth, and if this is your showcase then I have just wasted my money. sorry 1st impressions last. And this will be the last synth in my list.
