1. رواية "يسمعون حسيسها" للشاعر والروائي أيمن العتوم، الصادرة عن المؤسسة العربية للدراسات والنشر في بيروت وعمان، تتناول قصّة طبيب أمضى سبعة عشر عاماً في سجن تدمر في سوريّة للفترة من 1980 حتى 1997.

2. وتصف الرّواية حالات من الرّعب والجنون والهَذَيان والموت والجحيم عاناها السّجين مع أكثر من عشرين ألف سجينٍ آخر، قضى منهم حوالي أحدَ عشرَ ألفًا عن طريق الإعدام أو التّعذيب أو المرض أو الجنون أو الانتحار.
