Install WiFi-CarDV app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using WiFi-CarDV on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "WiFi-CarDV"
- The search will reveal the WiFi-CarDV app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once WiFi-CarDV is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including WiFi-CarDV.
- Now enjoy WiFi-CarDV on PC.

- To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.
- To use WiFi-CarDV,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "WiFi-CarDV" » then Click "Install".
- WiFi-CarDV will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Latest update has a slow video stream

The latest update lags when you try to view the video stream through the app. It was much better in the previous version.

Useless to transfer files

WiFi transfer speed is horrible slow (took almost 5 minutes to download one 3 minute video).
It only saves the files local to the app and you can’t access it via iTunes File Sharing. So you can’t use this app to transfer files from the camera to phone to Home computer.

Awful Chinese crap

You open the app and there’s one giant button that says “connect”. You press it and it opens your settings to toggle on or off whether the app uses cellular data. That’s it. There’s no other options. It doesn't matter if it uses cellular data or not. That’s all the app does. It brings you to the toggle for it.

Update Needed

Add the ability to send photos and videos from the app to text/email. You can download video clips to the app on your phone, but you don’t have the ability to send them, which eliminates any benefit of having the videos. I have this dash cam in case I get into an accident, but if I did, I would have no way to send it to my insurance company.
Overall, I really like the product, but the app needs a major update.
