Top Pcmac Reviews

  • Great app, highly recommend

    By ch.p.f (Pcmac user)

I bought mSecure because it had less functionalities than more popular apps such as 1Passord. When it comes to keeping the app secure, I prefer simplicity and stability. This app is extremely stable. I can't remember a crash -- I have used it for over 8 years. It does a few things and does it well. I went through three international moves with mSecure: it was a life saver. I now have 280 pages of passwords, notes, copies of passports, SSN, software licenses, addresses and phone numbers. mSecure has become my portable safe, literally. I did not give it 5 stars for a simple reason: there is no simple way to archive old passwords/notes. I hope the developper will consider adding a simple check box that would move the record in an archive folder for future reference (old phone numbers, old addresses, etc.). Some kind of family or business plan allowing sharing of account, with restrictions, would also be great.
  • Terrible Customer Service / Locked out of your upgraded product

    By SkySurf4fun (Pcmac user)

I bought this app when they first started. They were decent in response to issues back then but have now taken a dive. I upgraded to 5.6 and after paying to upgrade, found myself with a product I couldnt use beause it told me my trial period was done. The issue is because for some reason, it’s associating a email to this newer version, even though I’ve never had it before. After reading through there forum, this is a common issue with this new 5.x version. It should be as simple as changing the login to associate with a new paid for email, but no. You cannot change this and have to deal with their terrible customer service and file a ticket. After 3 days, they closed my ticket and never even addressed the problem! In the past, they didn’t have associated emails or accounts but have now did that and so I’m left to going back to the old version. DO NOT UPGRADE and pay for this because you might find yourself in the same boat and unable to use the product you upgrade to.
  • On WiFi/local sync, mSecure stores your password in the cloud

    By TType (Pcmac user)

mSecure is a great the app app, but, I do not want any info in the cloud, or sent out to the internet - espically my the app. The long developer explaination is that mSecure needs my the app to sync accounts. I have always used the local backup - no cloud. Great….except with MSecure 5, I cannot change my the app without connecting to the internet. This is a serious flaw if one desires to keep their information off the internet. Just try changing your the app without being connected to the internet - you will receive the following: "ERROR There was an error setting the the app to the cloud. Please make sure you have an internet connection and try again."
  • Use it everyday - absolutely reliable

    By Jim@Hicks (Pcmac user)

My wife and I use mSecure to keep up with our passwords. We each have the mSecure app on our iPhones and also on our mac mini. Sync instantly keeps us all 3 devices up to date with the passwords and notes we each add. We keep up with every bit of information that we may ever need, family SS#'s, tax id's, vehicle vins, tire sizes, bank info, credit card info, website logins and passwords, lunchroom pay codes. You name it, and we put it in mSecures. It is wonderful to have any and all information we need handy. Absolutely and totally reliable. We are adding or referencing info almost every day.
