Software Features and Description

1. Although every effort has been made to reduce the impact on battery life, please make sure tracking and background location services are afoot when the application is not in use.

2. Note that SkyVario uses location services when tracking, even when the application is not active.

3. SkyVario, an application designed for gliders and paragliders (but can also well be used for hang gliders and general aviation!).

4. It features a simple user interface with a vario meter, compass and moving map utilising the iPhone's barometric sensor and gps.

5. SkyVario offers tracking of your flight and export various formats like GPX, CSV and secured IGC.

6. The app comes standard with an option to display airspaces for positional awareness.

7. This will consume more battery power then normal.

Install skyVario app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using skyVario on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "skyVario"
The search will reveal the skyVario app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once skyVario is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including skyVario.
Now enjoy skyVario on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native skyVario Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use skyVario,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "skyVario" » then Click "Install".
- skyVario will now be available on your Windows start-menu.
