Software Features and Description

1. eSMS/Student will allow the user to do any/all of the following activities: book, reschedule or cancel an advising appointment with their designated advisor; book, reschedule or cancel a career coaching/professional development appointment with their major-affiliated career coach; reserve one of the five collaborative team rooms in the Professional Development Center for their group; review upcoming Eller College Events and RSVP to attend any that are of interest; connect with D2L and Blackboard.

2. In order to use the Quick Advising check-in feature, eSMS/Student makes use of Location Background mode.

3. Please note: to use this app, students must be currently enrolled at the University of Arizona, and have logged into the web portal for eSMS at least once to validate their account.

4. When enabled, please be aware that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Install eSMS Student app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using eSMS Student on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "eSMS Student"
The search will reveal the eSMS Student app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once eSMS Student is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including eSMS Student.
Now enjoy eSMS Student on PC.
