Software Features and Description

1. When you find a dead head in the water, send us the Longitude and Latitude using the 'Contact Us' feature.

2. Users can submit dead heads or obstructions they find in the water that are not mapped.

3. A new maps feature provides users with green pins indicating where landmarks/marinas are located along various rivers in the Halifax area.

4. When boaters pass within 100 feet of the dead head, a message from the app will appear warning them of it's presence.

5. Follow our 'Living The Life' blogger Craig Bowman from 'Cruising Off Duty', to see what it's like to live a life onboard a boat as he moves towards leaving land for good.

6. A dead head is a log or obstruction in the water which could be dangerous for boaters.

7. Halifax Boating app gives you all the information you need to enjoy the water.

8. We provide a list of sailing clubs, marinas, part suppliers, repair shops and weather conditions so that you can enjoy that perfect day.

9. As you approach a green or red pin, a message is displayed on your device giving you the option of viewing it's location on the map or to view more information.

10. User submitted obstructions and dead heads are marked in red.

11. Please note: continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Install Halifax Boating app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Halifax Boating on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Halifax Boating"
The search will reveal the Halifax Boating app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Halifax Boating is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Halifax Boating.
Now enjoy Halifax Boating on PC.
