Love the game. You get to sample for free so you can play a couple levels and the rally for free. After that you have to pay. I got it at a discount on MARIO day (Mar 10). So well worth 5$. 10$ is a steep price but it’s MARIO. They continue to support and add much more. So you get more then just the 6 levels. Also has a remix now that you do 10 short levels all at once. And advance on a game board. Also the 6 levels have goals to complete as well. Like each level has 3 sets of 5 coins. You start out having to get all 5 pink coins that are in certain spots. Then have to get 5 green or whatever color coins etc. over all fun to play and hours of fun. And if complete, still fun to play. Can do time runs etc.
The reason I give a 3 star. Can’t play it offline. Granted most of the time you probably are at a spot with service. But still. I work at a place that don’t always have service. Just something I feel they should have allowed. Even if can’t save progress. It’s a single player game and should have had a way to play offline. I am also not a fan that in order to get some things you have to link to other Nintendo products. I think those things should be unlock able regardless. Just maybe instant if you link. But still a way of not.
But outside that I do enjoy the game. And glad to see it continue to get updates.
Don’t buy this game.
They say Mario Party ruins friendships, well this game ruins sanity! The controls do work, but you will get random results. Multiple times have I lost at a stage over and over again, but I’ll win doing the exact same thing. Sometimes when you touch a brick you will either jump off it, jump over it, or fall. And there is no different on how you press it or when you press it, it’s just luck. Sometimes when you touch an enemy from below, sometimes I’ll kill it, sometimes I’ll die. Sometimes when I jump on a bomb, it’ll either go flying or go off screen. Even the power ups are random! In level star-9, you need a star power up to get a coin collectible, BUT the block you need to hit to get that power up sometimes gives out coins instead! There is no skill in that! Also, the view is too small. Too many times have I been hit by something off screen that I couldn’t avoid before it’s too late. Another problem with the small screen is that you don’t know where the next coin collectible will be, so you have to remember which pathway you go down because otherwise you won’t get it. It’s literally all about leaps of faith. No room for warning. My recommendation to Nintendo, improve the controls, make attack’s consistent, and widen the view. It’s saddening because it is addicting, but the need to continue playing isn’t “oh this is fun”, it’s “it has to work next time!” This isn’t fun, it’s frustrating.
A lot of people say that 10$ is a little over priced. They say it should be 5$ but if I were in charge of nintendo I would make it 7$ for the rest of the game. It’s a simple, fast paced, awesome, MARIO game! It was the first to!! I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooo excited when my mum told me about this! The kingdom editor is a great new mechanic, I love the fact we can play as not only Mario but also Peach, Luigi, Toad, Daisy(which you get in remix 10) Toadette, Yoshi, Blue Yoshi, Yellow Yoshi & Purple Yoshi!! Now, I am a dedicated fan of Nintendo and this is no exception to all the other games Nintendo has made( Metroid, super smash bros, ect.) I love the one button tap controls it’s great! And in the kingdom you can expand you land with rainbow bridges by getting more colored toads from toad rally! And they didn’t forget the star world! Remix 10 was brand new and is super fun! My last comment is the music, the music is remixes of old music from Super Mario Bros 3(a fav of mine, 1980’s) its great! You should definitely pay 10$ for the rest of Mario’s adventure! If Nintendo could add Warriors and Waluluigi that would be AWESOME!! Now you can’t really play it without wi-fi which stinks but if you have personal connection, then your all set!! Don’t forget to get them coins!!
Just lower the price
The game is a fun pass time for when your bored, I've managed to unlock red toad and blue yoshi while playing for free, but since I refuse to pay $10 for this crap I'm basically just stuck in a repetitive cycle of going to remix 10 playing a set of 10 waiting for it to reunlock(they put a time limit on when you get to play so you play a set of 10 then have to wait or pay 3 extra tickets) and then doing toad rally which is really just boring in half the time since it's usually either a terrible bot and no matter how many times you do it there's no real pay off while playing for free since you can't progress any father than blue toads(as far as I've gotten even after getting a purple toad house and having a purple toad on the map I am unable to use rally to get any purple) so it basically becomes pay $10 or you basically get to play a waiting game for anything you can participate in for free. Which really just ruins the game for me games like sonic runners(the first one) and rayman adventure are freemium but at least they let you keep going for free making paying truly optional while Nintendo says you go nowhere without $10 more, $5 is a fair price but when you push to double digits then your basically saying, "because we're Nintendo people will buy anything we sell and defend our choices no matter how stupid or outrageous they could be"
Paid a lot to be frustrated
I was excited to download this game when I finally realized I could play Mario on my phone, until a couple levels in and I realized I had to fork over 10 bucks just to unlock six worlds total. SIX. Not to mention a whole boatload of my data. Oh, and then the star worlds, which don’t unlock until you complete a series of near impossible challenges. Seriously, I gave up on unlocking certain star worlds when I was about to smash my phone. The rally is maddening because this app’s ability to maintain a connection is meager at best, and if you disconnect for a second you lose your ticket and toads, thus setting you even further back. After multiple disconnects in that I finally learned to stay away from it. The remix ten is fun in theory, even though it’s really just the same six worlds shortened and recycled over and over again, but some of the levels have the bonus medals set in places where it is truly impossible to collect every single one. Or ridiculous obstacles are set up, like running straight into a turning blade because there is no way to stop yourself but no way to get the medal with just letting it hit you. If they could be slightly less stingy with the pause buttons throughout the levels and WAY less rigid in the ridiculously challenging nature of certain levels, this game might’ve earned a few more stars. For now, this data destroyer has been removed from my phone.

Don’t get me wrong. I love Nintendo, have been a fan for so long, and the Mario franchise is my all time favorite, but there is one problem with Mario Run (the reason why i only gave 4 stars). Mario Run requires internet connection, not only for Toad Ralley, but for the entire game. And some parts of the game, specifically the Mario Tour levels, it doesn’t make sense for it to require internet. We can’t connect to the internet at the school we go to, and my mom keeps taking cellular data off my phone, so that means I can’t play Mario Run that much. (Let me mention i play this game more often then any other game on this phone.) At least let players play the Mario Tour level offline. And if not, well I can’t do anything. I know you put a lot of effort and time into this game, because it is amazing, but please let us play offline on some parts of the game.
I will always be a fan of Nintendo, whether I have a Nintendo Switch or not.

Honestly I believe this game deserves two stars😔it’s a good game to pass time but it has some ridiculous features. At first I was really intrigued by the rallies and other major events in the game but later on I started to become bored 😴there weren’t much things to do and it was difficult to get rally tickets in order to compete in the rally I also feel like there should be more choices to play with your friends and that you should be able to gift items to your friends as well🎁. I don’t think that it’s really a smart idea to purchase the app there aren’t enough designing ideas there aren’t enough events there aren’t enough tour games and in my opinion there aren’t enough of really anything🤨. The premium version does not really give you much of an up in game options despite all these factors I think that the worst of them all is the fact that you have to wait so long in order to compete in the remix 10 games at first it was a small period of time but as you progress farther and farther into the game you have to wait a longer period of time now I’m at level 23 in remix 10 and I have to wait six hours!!!!!!!!!🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯how ridiculous I would like some of these things to be changed weather in the premium version or not but I feel that there should be more to access in this game.
Fun at a price
Super MARIO Run has gotten negative feedback because it is $10. While the price tag may look steep considering that there are only 24 levels and requires a stable internet connection, I think that the price is (somewhat) worth it. You’re given hours of entertainment without the need to spend extra on micro transactions, the price you pay is final no extra purchases after. This game has gotten several updates that add new levels and even characters, and Nintendo still seems like they are still supporting the game. I feel the downside of the game is the required internet connection as mentioned earlier. You cannot play Super MARIO Run in places with poor internet or no internet. Which may turn off some people, including myself. The price can also wade people off from this game, there are much better apps that cost LESS than this game. I thankfully paid for the discount price of $5 but I don’t understand why Nintendo didn’t just make this a permanent price drop. It would be wise to do so as the install base for this game has dropped once users saw the hefty price tag. With a few updates in the future I feel that the price tag may become worth it, but as of right now I think you’re better off avoiding this one if you’re not a Mario fan.
I’m not mad, I’m just disappointed
I was REALLY enjoying this game! Like yes! Mario on my phone! I was worried about the controls but they’re excellent and it’s a well-made game. But then I finished World 1 and was told I had to pay to continue on to the other worlds. At first I figured it was fine there was probably a way to unlock the other worlds. But nope. Gotta pay or else you’re just stuck doing the rallies over and over again. I don’t care if apps want people to pay, and that’s fine for the people who are impatient/just want to get through everything, but to not have the ability to grind through everything available and unlock the rest is very very disappointing. From reading other reviews, I personally feel like $10 is a rip off for what you get in return for this being a mobile app. I could buy three or four full games for PC at the same price and get hours more entertainment out of it, considering it took me all of maybe 20 minutes to clear through the basic levels of this app. So I guess if you’re fine paying extra for probably less than you expect, I would say heck yeah go for it, it’s an entertaining game! But otherwise, I’d steer clear. I’d love to keep playing but I’m adamantly not willing to pay for rewards and levels I could easily and happily farm for instead.
Great game, but not perfect

I love this game so much and I don’t regret spending the $10 to unlock the full game. However, there are some things that need a lot of improvement, like remix 10. It’s my favorite aspect of the game, but the thing I can’t stand about it is that it starts the level with the camera zoomed in on mario so you can’t see what’s ahead of you. By the time is zooms out, sometimes there’s an enemy or a pit in front of you but it’s too late to jump over it because of not being able to see ahead far enough. I often end up dying before even getting a chance. I also don’t like that when Mario is hanging on a ledge, he climbs up automatically. Sometimes I catch the edge of a platform with an enemy coming towards me and Mario automatically pulls himself up into the enemy and dies. If he would just hang there and wait a second before pulling himself up, it would be so much better. This makes the game a lot more frustrating than it should be. I also think that way too many toads are required to get rainbow bridges, and when you finally do obtain one, the little chunk of land you get doesn’t have nearly enough space to house all of the decorations you get during your journey. Other than that, it’s a great game.
