  • WeDoDeleteYourTasks: Your second (amnesiac) brain

    By GTDNeedAGoodToDoApp (Pcmac user)

I’ve tried several ToDo apps over the years. Some simple like Microsoft’s ToDo and some more complicated like Wunderlist, AnyDo, etc.. I just need something in the middle. Something that syncs across devices, is very straightforward, and bonus points for ergonomics. This is what made me try this app. It was excellent for the first three days. Then the worst thing a ToDo app could do happened. It started completely erasing (not marked done, not in “trash,” gone!) my tasks. I still have most of them and I still have the ones I marked as done, but now it’s graduated to erasing a whole list that I just created for work. This is so awful because part of what makes these apps helpful is that you can take out of your mind all the things you’d like to accomplish and KEEP them on lists. Now I have to try to remember everything that I had put down, which I will if it was truly important, but this really makes for an uneasy feeling. I’ve also installed the app for Mac, and the syncing was just not happening. I distrust this app, and will not be using it anymore. Too bad, I had high hopes for this one. I will still be out here searching for the “perfect” ToDo app. If you devs figure out dependability for cross-platform syncing and NOT RANDOMLY DELETING things, let me know. Honestly, I want to know and will try it out again. Unless of course by then I’ve found the epitome of a GTD app.
  • Not too simple, not too complicated.

    By Fish Munga (Pcmac user)

I’m a big fan of this app. We used Asana before, but I frequently found myself needing to add “Organize Asana” to my to-do list. Too complicated, I think it’s for bigger organizations with very dilegent people.. this app hits the sweet spot somewhere in between my scribbled notepad and Asana, so I now have my whole team using this app. I did have a bug leaving (deleting) lists only to find them back the next I logged in. I filled out the contact form on the website expecting no response, or something automated, instead I received a thourough response with the guys keen resolve the issue. Points on. One of my favourite uses is having a “Today” list into which I can move items from other more longterm lists. Another is having the app open on my phone on the bottom of my home screen. I’ll then be driving or whatever, and when I think of a thing I must remember, I can very quickly add it to a list - easier than to the phone’s reminder, and it syncs immediately to the app on my computer. It’s helped my proiductivity a lot, without itself being a job to maintain.
  • Love app - 1 problem

    By hiavgmo (Pcmac user)

I love this app. One issue I am having however is that the Lists I create on my phone do not sync to the app version on my computer. I’ve logged out and back in of my account but still my lists that I made on my phone do not appear. When i do make a list on the my computer, it does sync to my phone. I made a ton of lists and some tasks in each one on my phone and now I have to mannually enter it all in again on my computer, very frustrating. Just on small issue that i would love to get fixed. Keep up the great work!
  • Excellent Task Management Alternative to ToDoist & Wunderlist

    By zackstark (Pcmac user)

I was looking for a task management to replace wunderlist (I’ve flipped back and fourth between it and ToDoist over the years). I found this app recently and so far it seems to do everything I need and more. I can easily separate work from home tasks, organize lists and set reminders. I also like the idea of the habit option, which I can create habit based tasks with reminders to do things like go to the gym or drink water, etc… Overall, it’s an excellent app and replaces wunderlist for me.
