1. The Empower Flint app provides the residents of Flint with the most important and up-to-date action items they should take to protect themselves, their families, and their pets in dealing with the Flint water crisis.

2. The action items are assembled by a team of experts at Michigan State University derived from many sources, including the United Way 211, College of Human Medicine, College of Veterinary Medicine, College of Communication Arts & Sciences, WKAR-TV, and MSU Extension.

3. • Health tips to keep your family safe and/or deal with lead poisoning issues.

4. • Pet tips to keep pets safe and/or deal with lead poisoning issues.

5. • Ability to find and get directions to the closest water stations, free water filters, blood testing sites, and food assistance locations.

6. • Water tips on dealing with the Flint water crisis.

7. • Push notifications on timely information such as boil water alerts (optional).

8. • Nutrition tips to limit the damage of lead exposure.

Install Empower Flint app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Empower Flint on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Empower Flint"
The search will reveal the Empower Flint app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Empower Flint is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Empower Flint.
Now enjoy Empower Flint on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native Empower Flint Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Empower Flint,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Empower Flint" » then Click "Install".
- Empower Flint will now be available on your Windows start-menu.
