Install The Local - News in English app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:

- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using The Local on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "The Local"
- The search will reveal the The Local - News in English app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once The Local is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including The Local.
- Now enjoy The Local on PC.

- To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.
- To use The Local,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "The Local" » then Click "Install".
- The Local - News in English will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Great resource for local news in English. Just moved to Sweden, haven't mastered the app language yet so this app is a valuable little helper. They must have fixed the app app, the app other reviews say the app app doesn't work, works perfectly for me. Nice mix of entertaining and useful content. Thanks!

The update as of March 18

As of today, March 18th 2017, I have only been able to use the app updated app once. It looked nice. Unfortunately it no longer works (warning that there is no internet connection when there is one).
It saddens me that after a week of this, no update (or revert to the app old app) has been forthcoming. Sad.
