What is LogTail?

LogTail is an app designed for OS X that allows users to view and monitor local and remote log files on Linux servers. It can also be used to view data over TCP/UDP connections or any plain text file in a simple, clean, and unified interface. The app reads log files and outputs their contents as they change, and can follow or "tail" the file in a way similar to the Unix 'tail' utility (tail -f). LogTail is helpful in monitoring application and system log files which are updated constantly at runtime.

Install LogTail app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using LogTail on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "LogTail"
The search will reveal the LogTail app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once LogTail is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including LogTail.
Now enjoy LogTail on PC.

LogTail functions

- View and monitor local and remote log files on Linux servers using SSH

- View data over TCP/UDP connections or any plain text file

Need to get a refund, not working

Took a chance but it's not working in any meaningful way, can't connect to a remote system though I can with any other of 6 tools in use. No messaging useful to troubleshoot issue, pretty much a student project with enough polish in UI choices to present as a more mature tool than it actually is, Nowhere near any functionality worth $14, and I have no interest in paying $14 and then having to help troubleshoot the product. Apologies if this is a tough message but, the truth is, really need to have something more polished/more robust than this to offer as an actual product. And, as I have paid the $14 plus the several hours trying to get it to work, I'm now in, well over $150 when I could have been working and earning that and more. So, please provide a refund, and don't take these comments too hard, you're well on your way, just put in some more effort to get it to the point that justifies the price, could be a great tool, if you do.
Not doing what it says

I bought this app to view log files. It shows option for filtering - showing just the lines with the matching terms. The part of the line without the term is highlighted while the part with the term is invisible. Clearly buggy! Useless for me as it is. Thrown away money
Full of Bugs

This app has great potentials but full of bugs. The “search” option never works correctly especially when the “wrap long lines” option is turned on. The app is not really compatibale with “High Sierra” with even more screen redraw bugs. The app hasn’t been updated since Feb 2017. It seems like the developer has already abandoned this app. Don’t buy this app.

I pretty love this app but its remote file browser is extremely slow. Look how FileZilla did this. Please help to improve this.
