What is Land Rover Route Planner? The Land Rover Route Planner App is designed to work with Land Rover vehicles that have the InControl Touch Pro infotainment system. The app allows users to navigate from door to door by setting their destination from their smartphone and syncing it with their car's navigation system. The app also allows users to pre-plan trips and save locations as favorites for later use.

Software Features and Description

1. To be used in conjunction with Land Rover vehicles which are fitted with the next-generation infotainment system, InControl Touch Pro, the Land Rover Route Planner App allows you to navigate from door to door.

2. The smartphone app will then automatically sync with your Land Rover's navigation system using the Cloud so your car will be ready to take over navigating soon after you get in.

3. Once you've finished your in-car journey, navigation is then handed back to your smartphone, which provides any final public transport and pedestrian directions to your final destination.

4. Before setting out from your home, set your destination from your smartphone and you’ll be directed to your Land Rover as the app detects your vehicle's location.

5. In addition the Route Planner app also allows you to pre-plan trips and holidays by searching for places of interest or restaurants and saving them as favourites from your smartphone.

6. You will then be able to access these saved locations from the in-car navigation system at a later date.

7. This app requires that your vehicle be fitted with its relevant connectivity package as well as a Micro SIM card with a suitable data contract.

Inaccurate streets/wrong directions/dangerous

Using the map is dangerous. For instance, it tells me turn left when exhibiting the street that I live on but turning left would have me driving on the wrong side of the road. Likewise, it tells me to turn on a street that has not existed since before 2011 (I would end up in someone’s living room). Therefore, the map is OLD and outdated even though it said that I have the most recent version in the car and on the app. There is a highway that became a toll road over a year ago, I do not use toll roads and have the options set to avoid the, but the map is always directing me to take toll highways, such as this one. My friends laugh at me because I am driving a 2017 Range Rover but I still have to use Waze on my cell phone or my old Garmin for accurate directions. You would think that RR would not have these issues but this is the worse car map service I have ever used. Please, please, please update this map with at least the version from 2017 so that the map will match the “update date”. Thank you.
Terrible and disturbing app

I cannot understand how a company like the app Rover could come up with such a terrible app. Every time I start my car or tries to connect to my phone, it requests permission to connect, and I mean every single time I start up my car. If I already gave permission from my phone to be accessed, I don’t understand why it requests permission every single time. Also the apps are very limited and not useful at all. It is better if you allow a third party professional app to operate with your vehicle instead of wasting your time and money for something completely useful. I love my Range Rover, but this is annoying me every day and wished I never downloaded it. You can do a lot better guys. If you read the reviews you will realize you got to do something about it.
Use this app to send addresses to your Land Rover

I use this app all the time to send addresses to the nav system in our 2018 Range Rover Sporf. It's more convenient and easier to do this on my iPhone X before getting into the car and trying to type on the slow InControl display.
Frustrating App

I’ve registered my email account a billion times and every time I try to login on the app, I get different error messages, such as: “Cannot log you in for securing reasons” “Email account not recognized” “Try again in 60mins” Then when I am lucky enough to login on the website, I cannot add my VIN because the lame stuff say my VIN is invalid!?!? This is the most ridiculous app I’ve ever come across, I do not know if they don’t read the reviews here. I’ve spent time googling to see if I can get any information on how to fix this but I have not been able to come across any use guide or instructions on how to do this. Cannot believe for 2019 the app Rover Range Rover Evoque, a simple route planner cannot be designed
