iShows Movies is a movie tracker app that allows users to manage, discover, and keep track of their favorite movies. Software Features and Description

1. We highly encourage you to create a Trakt.tv account; doing so will allow you to keep a backup of your watched history and also comment or rate your favorite movies.

2. We have built a gesture driven interface so you can mark as watched, as favorite or even change the cover artwork with simple, intuitive finger gestures.

3. If you're connected to Trakt.tv, you can also get recommendations based on your movies, as well as find out what movie your friends are watching.

4. PLEASE NOTE: This app is meant to keep track of your favorite movies.

5. iShows Movies is the best way to manage, discover and keep track of your movies.

6. Once you have chosen the layout, you can customize the Poster and Fanart images with a simple swipe; browsing the images at full screen, and even save and share them.

7. When you are in the mood for new movies, tap the add button to go to the Discovery area, where you can see our personal picks, trending and popular movies.

8. We don't want to bore you with the same interface, so you can customize the app by changing between two different layouts: Poster and Fanart.

9. If you plan on using iShows both on your iPhone and your iPad, a Trakt.tv account is a must.

10. You can also change the app's color scheme (Light and Dark) and choose from six different highlight colors.

11. You CANNOT VIEW movies within this app.

Is anyone keeping this app operational?

Seems quite inconsistent lately! When searching for a movie, “boxes” might appear, but some have the “poster art”, some are blank. Then you can’t activate/open them. When looking at a particular movie and the cast, sometimes you can click on the cast members box and see other movies they have been in. You used to be able to “activate” those posters and add other movies to your list, sometimes this feature works...sometimes it doesn’t. Has been terribly frustrating using this app over the last year. Have they stopped keeping it updated and functional?

Ive had this app for like...ever. Still neither a recently released or coming soon tab to explore in either this or on iShows TV. It would make things that much better and would motivate me more to raise this to 5 stars. Its a great app that I don’t think I could live without now that we have a ton of streaming services with their own “queue” that fragment the way we manage what we watch all in one place. I hope one day this becomes a feature.
Crashing calendar view

UPDATE: Latest update adding calendar view fails. Clicking a date and nothing happens. Click on a movie in calendar view usually crashes the app. Not sure what the calendar view is supposed to be since it doesn’t work. Also, still missing the features described below. Two stars for now. ——————— Nice UI and easy to use but is missing some useful features: *Need to integrate nearby movie theaters to notify you when a movie on your list is playing nearby. *Need to integrate user's TV channels and streaming services to notify you when your movies are airing. Having a list of favorite movies is great, but many of us are too busy to always check if any of them are currently available to view. If these features were added, I'd change my rating to 5 stars.

The concept for this app is amazing and something I’ve been searching for since discovering Tv Time, the show tracker. At first, I thought this app was really cool (and still do to an extent), it’s just incredibly frustrating that it crashes every few minutes. If you can fix that, it’s something I would keep and continue to use.
