  • Best game on app store right now, but needs improvements

    By cweez (Pcmac user)

I’ve been playing this game meticulously since its release. I absolutely love it and recommend it to anyone who loves rpg’s, action, cards, and so forth. The hero’s are amazing and well developed. The typings and skills make it even better. However, there aren’t enough “magical” heroes. Also, the energy system is a bit flawed. There is no way to spend gems on regular energy and there aren’t any in-app purchases for regular energy, only titan energy. If they added some, more players would invest in the game. Also, acquiring evolution material is extremely difficult for 5-to-6 star evolutions. So, once you build your way up to 5 star heroes, it takes forever, or extreme luck, to get the evolution material to evolve them to 6 star, which ruins the game for some and I’ve seen some people quit playing altogether for that reason. Lastly, it’s difficult to save up coins and the events to get coins cost so much energy that nobody can utilize them properly. With all that said, this game is amazing and I have no intentions of leaving. Best on the app store in my opinion! I hope to see more improvements in the future that tend to the player’s experience while playing.
  • Unreliable

    By BusyAcrobaticDingo (Pcmac user)

The game is fun, but the bugs that have not been worked out make it essentially unplayable. The amount of times the game has frozen and forced closed is an embarrassment for game developers. I have noticed that the game no longer crashes *as much*, but it still crashes plenty. For this reason, I’ll never spend a dime on it - how can I be comfortable spending real cash on a game in which I’ve lost so much in-game currency (i.e. I’ve lost at least 500 diamonds through the game crashing at very inopportune times like when I pay diamonds to re-enter a battle with a Titan; this does not even count the amount of meat energy to play battles). While I don’t have as much of an issue with the latest update that other players are having, I do find their customer service unhelpful (they will not assist you even when you have screenshots for proof) and the game itself feels like it is still in Beta phase with all the bugs that must still be worked out. I play the game bc it is an interesting way to play blackjack and I can play it free. But I highly advise against anyone buying anything in the game with real currency, unless you like to flush your money down the toilet. As is, this is a decent game to kill time, but the developers have abandoned all sense of customer service and therefore are not worthy of operating a business. The contributed unreliability for this game would be criminal if you paid anything.
  • Fun but some issues

    By Thatoneguy86 (Pcmac user)

The overall game is fun, but I have a few issues. THe core game is fun, with a simple black jack battle system. There are many cards to collect and some fun combo teams to build. However, after defeating dungeons, you get a chest. Each chest has a timer to unlock it. Some are short (45 mins) and some are long (12 hours). You can only hold 4 chest at a time and only unlock 1 at a time. You can use gems (in game currency purchased with real $ or unlocked by playing) to unlock chest faster. I find this mechanic an annoying cash grab. You are already throttled by how much energy you have available to you. Combine that with 4 full chest and you may not play for hours upon fear of losing good rewards. Now during the latest update you can now unlocked two chest at a time for $15 a month. They don’t allow gems only real $. The other new addition from the update is a party size buff. The game attempts to keep balance, by instilling a party size limit. All heroes have certain amount and the better they are the more it takes. You have to make tough decision upon building a team. Now with this update you can get plus 10 party size for $15 a month. This basically makes the game pay 2 win because a lower level guy can have a much bigger party than you and have a stronger team. Overall the game is fun, but these new updates leave a sour taste in my mouth.
  • Fun but serious issues

    By Chhoeum (Pcmac user)

First of all the concept and architecture of this game is great. It is addictive and exciting. However there are some serious flaws. I was so impressed with the game that I didn’t mind spending a bit of money for in game items and resources. Everything you do in game requires a resource of some sort such as energy, invites to arena, and so forth; if the game crashes you lose said resources. In some instances you lose resources and rank such as in arena matches where you win but game crashes so it counts it as a loss. You are able to recruit the help of others in game randomly before you do dungeons and only once per set time limit. It is a double edge sword because it doesn’t scale with the difficulty of dungeons. Sometimes you get over powered help then others you get basically a character that adds very little benefits to your party. I feel like the mechanics behind the game are set like most f2p games as pay to win. Which I find acceptable but, not so blatant as to lose resources over a game crash that you spent real money for. This game is fun, but honestly it feels like a complete ripoff when things you pay for just disappear and you feel punished for the game crashing which is beyond your control. Stability is server and programmer side and the players get punished for it. The ones actually spending money are punished more so than others.
