Software Features and Description

1. It will be very useful when you want to test bandwidth of your wifi, ethernet or mixed network, but your internet connection is too slow(for example 10 Megabits per second), and your router can provide much faster speed between devices in local network.

2. If you use 2 wifi devices to measure network bandwidth between them, the result will be less than, if you measure network bandwidth between wifi device and ethernet device(for example MacBook connected to router with wired connection).

3. If you want to know maximum wifi network bandwidth for one wifi client, you need to use MacBook as a second device, and you should connect it to your network using wired connection.

4. - Test network bandwidth (connect TWO devices to one wifi network, start the app and test your network bandwidth in one tap/click).

5. It will allow you to test and troubleshoot your wifi network.

6. This will happen because two wifi devices will transfer data to each other and they will share wifi bandwidth.

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Once WiFi Check is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including WiFi Check.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use WiFi Check,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "WiFi Check" » then Click "Install".
- WiFi Check - scanner, test speed, tools will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

iperf-like tool with better user interface

This is pretty much an iperf-like tool (or just exactly iperf inside). You’ll need another device running the same application, and it’ll automatically detect peers within the same subnet. There is one free iperf/iperf3 option on iOS (and you’ll have to start the iperf server from another computer, or router console), but this $0.99 for a GUI is not a bad deal. Your call. The Good: Auto detection with bi-directional throughput test and nice GUI. The Bad: Apple devices Only. it would be even more useful if I can pair this with an ordinary iperf/iperf3 server — It will not take iperf3, but iperf2 would try to hook up the node and return version mismatch error.
