Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Lock Notes"
The search will reveal the Lock Notes - Passcode Protect app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Lock Notes is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Lock Notes.

Basic App with Security Flaws

Generally, it does what it is supposed to do which is keep your notes private with the passcode entry. However, there are some flaws: if you backup your phone and transfer your data to a new phone, the passcode is lost during the transfer. It will no longer require a passcode on the new phone and you will need to set it up again. Just a thought if you don’t open it often and think your notes are still secure after getting a new phone or if you are dealing with a nosy person. Secondly, I believe this new update does not support the app so whenever I try to open my notes it quits immediately. I cannot access my notes. I’m not sure if this will fix itself with an app update or if they are lost forever. Lastly, the app offers very basic formatting changes. I see this as a con but others may not care.
LOST EVERYTHING + NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT

I’ll update or remover this review if their customer support helps resolved this problem. Was originally 5 stars in my book. Everything seemed to be working well and I became reliant on this app. Storing thousands of dollars worth of research as well as a year plus of journaling. Then, one day, everything disappeared. I paid the $11 or $12 or whatever the price was to make sure there were backups and that was completely useless!!!!! Not only that but I’ve emailed customer support multiple times desperately asking for support and for help restoring my information. So far, no response. DON’T USE THIS APP! YOU MIGHT LOSE EVERYTHING!!! Again, I’ll revert back to 4-5 stars if they solve my problem. Giving them 1 more week. Otherwise I’m reporting them to Apple. Besides, iOS’s notepad app now has the same password protection feature now!
Basically they take your money and give you nothing in return.

The app itself seems great. Then it tells you that half the functions such as linking devices costs extra. I paid and now I can see updates made from my tablet on my phone but not the other way around. Trying to do anything from my iphone prompts me to pay again. It then tells you that auto back-up costs even more. Now this "free" app has cost me 13$ and doesn't function the way it's supposed to. To top it off their "send feed back" button just tells you that you don't have email. Basically they just take your money and give you nothing in return.

I use a locking note app all the time. I switch to this app because my previous note locking app. Had not done an update in a couple of years. And I kept getting alerts that it would stop functioning. So I have been using this app for a couple of months now and here is what I can tell you. PRO's 1. I love the fingerprint reader option 2. Folders options 3. Fonts options. 4. Sort order of folder and notes. CON's 1. Ability to delay locking the app 1min, 3min, 5min. So when you are switching back n forth between apps it doesn't require unlocking every time you close it out. Just to get right back in to add content. 2. Having to pay a YEARLY subscription for auto backup of information to iCloud.
