3. Highly trained Environmental Health Specialists routinely visit thousands of food establishments in Santa Clara County during unannounced inspections.

4. The placard color generally represents how safe it is to eat at a facility and is based upon the total number of major violations observed during an inspection.

5. The compliance score is an indication of the overall conformity with the California Retail Food Code on a score from 0 to 100 (100 being perfect).

6. - Easily view closure information for food facilities that are immediately closed due to a major violation.

Download and install the SCCDineOut app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "SCCDineOut"
The search will reveal the SCCDineOut app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once SCCDineOut is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including SCCDineOut.
Now enjoy SCCDineOut on PC.

Using SCCDineOut on Mac OS:
Install SCCDineOut on your Mac using the same steps for Windows OS above.

To get SCCDineOut on Windows 11, check if there's a native SCCDineOut Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:

Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)

For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.

Installing SCCDineOut:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "SCCDineOut" » Click "Install" to install SCCDineOut
- SCCDineOut will now be available on your windows start-menu.

A commenter on Facebook recommended this app after the recent Shigella incident in San Jose. I poked around and looked at the records for a few of my favorite local haunts and was quite surprised to see their unsavory past. The app makes it really easy to find restaurants and clearly see previous inspection result summaries, which are quite detailed. And if that's not enough for you, you can even get the full report as a PDF. Install and use if you value your health when eating out!!
