What is ABRSM Violin Practice Partner? The OFFICIAL ABRSM Violin Practice Partner is an app designed to make practicing pieces for violin exams more musical, enjoyable, and fun. It allows users to practice with piano accompaniment, violin part in isolation, or duo ensemble recording. The app also allows users to slow down or speed up the music to a tempo that suits them, listen closely to the violin in isolation, and repeat tricky passages by setting loops around them. Users can personalize the app by choosing from nine different virtual partners to practice with. The app comes with an example piece from Grade 1 and Grade 5 of the NEW ABRSM Violin Exam Pieces 2020–2023, and users can purchase individual pieces or grade selections from the ABRSM Violin Exam Pieces 2020–2023 and 2016–2019 books for Grades 1–8.

4. * ‘Pig Ankle Rag’ – 2016-2019 Grade 3, C1 – is for solo violin so is not featured in Violin Practice Partner.

7. It is useful for anyone learning or teaching pieces from the NEW ABRSM Violin Exam Pieces 2020–2023.
