The Southern Mail is a free weekly community newspaper available in print and digital format, and is distributed to 50 510 readers’ homes every Wednesday in the Wynberg, Parkwood, Grassy Park, Retreat, Lotus River, Fairways, Cafdo Village, Heathfield, Steenberg, Punts Estate, Elfindale, Zeekoeivlei, Coniston Park, Ottery, Wetton, Ferness, Pelican Park, Montague Gift, Seawinds, Capricorn Park Village, St Montagues Village, Longvlei, Capricorn Village, Lakeview, Schaopkraal, Turfhall Estate, Marble Flats and Lavender Hill areas.

2. An enhanced version of reality where live direct or indirect views of physical real-world environments are augmented with superimposed computer-generated images over a user’s view of the real-world, thus enhancing one’s current perception of reality.

3. Look out for images in print with the Augmented Reality logo and scan the image for an exciting digital experience.

5. The Southern Mail (formerly the Southern Mail Shopper) was established in 1986 and re named Southern Mail in 2009.

7. The Southern Mail app now brings you their latest news at your fingertips.

8. You as a consumer can now submit stories and content, including videos, audio, images and GPS locations.

9. You can become a journalist on the go! Your stories will be submitted to a secure dashboard, where the newspaper will monitor and review which content they can use.
