5. This module provides the opportunity to test your ear and train it to recognize the characteristic sound of various musical interval makes.
6. Perfect pitch refers to the ability to hear a single tone and discern its pitch.
7. Hearing melodies and harmonies in your head and expressing them with an instrument is crucial to the improviser and composer and having a discerning ear will allow you to translate what you hear.
8. The benefit of this skill will become apparent when you can quickly play a melody that you "hear" in your head.
9. For instance, if you hear a car horn blare and it sounds like an A# to you, then you probably have perfect pitch.
10. This approach can yield satisfactory results but real artistry on the guitar comes when musicians are more aware of the notes they are playing.
11. The goal of this module is to sing what you hear inside your head.
