1. While we typically regard Advent as a joyous season, it is also intended to be a period of preparation, much like Lent.

2. Advent is a season observed in many Christian churches as a time of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus at Christmas.

3. Lent is the period of 40 days which comes before Easter in the Christian calendar.

4. This app presents a series of prayers, one for each day of the Lenten/Advent period to help you grow in your relationship with God and to deepen your commitment to a way of life that stems from our baptism.

5. If you choose to subscribe, payment will be charged to your iTunes account, and your account will be charged for renewal 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

6. By observing the 40 days of Lent, Christians replicate Jesus Christ's sacrifice and withdrawal into the desert for 40 days.

7. Beginning on Ash Wednesday, Lent is a season of reflection and preparation before the celebrations of Easter.

8. The goal of every Christian is to leave Lent a stronger and more vital person of faith than when we entered.

9. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period.
