Complete Chess

To buy a App set as crisp and clear as the one presented in this Program one would have to comb the streets of London, Paris or Moscow for days or weeks and still not be as elegant. Here with The clear settings menu with built-in help on can set up a board handsome enough for the most fastidious appetite. Every other aspect of the game is clear and the magic brain can be set to exact international standards of difficulty. There is nothing that A reasonable person can complain about. But I have had my Senses and my "amour propre" shocked by the swiftness of the Computer's response to my cleverest ploys. The computer moves The pieces so soon that it rattles you and you feel hurried along And this rather spoils the quiet philosophical pleasure of the game. I have therefore a humble suggestion to make. There is A settings section for time allowed per move - time allowed for Computer analysis of the board. Although the computer may be Satisfied with its proposed move there should be a short delay before it kicks you in the pants say 4 or 5 seconds (settable). This would humanise the computer a bit and make one feel that one is giving the computer some interesting work to do ! It would calm my shattered nerves also. I would also mention that When playing with the "best moves" help feature turned on That these are drawn from the very best level of analysis whereas The computer as opponent is limited to the level of difficulty you Have set. If you wish to you can always win or you can increase the set level to match you or beat you every time. i have another suggestion,a text saying what it is trying to do a couple of moves ahead. It shows the chain of moves but a summary of its philosophy would explain why it is suggesting that crazy move.This would help learners in a big way. Examples. N will try to protect F7 to let Q have a safe harbour to mate..B must help Protect K.
