Changefactor – Parent is a training app that supports all types of parents, Foster Carers, Adopters, Guardians and Birth Parents. This is an innovative platform developed to readily support all subscribers with all aspects of parenting readily; supporting practice development, ongoing experience, and general confidence in the role as parents. We offer training sessions, learning resources, live-streamed sessions covering a range of specialist topic events facilitated by a skilled expert and community chat. All interactive bitesize courses, many of our courses end with a small self-assessment and the opportunity to earn a certificate on completion. Parenting is a mammoth task, with challenges specific to the Foster Carer, Adopter, Guardians and Birth Parents we aim to offer activities that will: • Boost your knowledge, skills, and values of parenting in many areas. • Offer to all personal development resources - including a range of useful tools and literature which you can use towards your Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and self-reflection. • Provide specific courses and resources for the Foster Carer (including connected foster carers), who will complete training, in line with Fostering NMS that they can use to demonstrate their CPD and prepare for your annual household review and Panel. • Offer all parents opportunities to explore and understand their child better, identifying new ways to help meet the child’s needs and promote stability. Overall this is an app that the whole family can benefit from, where the learner can pass on new knowledge and skills to the children, other family members and others working with the child. All with the purpose of safeguarding children and providing every opportunity for them to thrive.
