CALERAresearch is the first solution to monitor core body temperature continuously and non-invasively. Using the same technology as CORE but being specifically designed for researchers, CALERAresearch will allow real-time core body temperature monitoring and high-resolution (1 Hz) data downloading. Individually calibrated devices will make sure your measurements are of the highest accuracy. This app is not designed for use with the CORE sensor. 1. What does CALERAresearch do? CALERAresearch helps you track the core body temperature. This is the interior temperature of the body – including organs and other tissues – which can substantially differ from the skin temperature. Core temperature changes due to physiological processes such as illness, intense activity, circadian cycles, or ovulation. CALERAresearch will allow you to continuously and non-invasively track this internal temperature with high accuracy during your research experiments. 2. Get access to your data at any time CALERAresearch stores your data locally on the device and connects to the app to display it. If you use the app to display the temperature, the data is also pushed to a secure cloud solution, where you can view it and download it for further analysis. CALERAresearch additionally comes with two unique features: the computer based COREtool and high time resolution logging mode. Before CALERAresearch, only invasive methods such as rectal probes or ingestible e-pills were available for measuring the core body temperature. For the first time, CALERAresearch provides an accurate, continuous, non-invasive solution for monitoring core body temperature, regardless of the activity and environment. CALERAreasearch’s measurement of core body temperature is accurate to within 0.21°C. As proof of its unique value, the consumer version of CALERAresearch, CORE, is already used by UCI World Teams and top triathletes worldwide. The CALERAresearch device clips onto your heart-rate monitor belt or sports bra. It can also be worn using specially designed medical-grade patches.
