1. Clan Cancer Support, in partnership with Wild in Art, is set to shine a light across the north-east, Moray, Orkney and Shetland with ‘Light the North’ the lighthouse trail from August 9th to 17 October.

2. This is the latest art sculpture trail in Scotland following on from Oor Wullie to inspire artists, school and the public from across the country while raising fund for Clan Cancer Support.

3. Since 1983, Clan has supported anyone affected by cancer, providing emotional and practical support to ensure those peoples wellbeing needs are being taken care of at all states of the cancer journey.

4. At the end of trail, each of the lighthouse sculptures will be auctioned off and the funds raised will help Clan to support even more people affected by cancer.

5. This event is made more special as the trail will be present in each of the areas that Clan Cancer Support operates.

6. The sculpture trail will draw people to explore, not only in Aberdeen, but the surrounding communities, Moray and the northern isles to see over forty-five 2.5m tall lighthouses, which will be designed by some of the UK’s most talented artists.
