1. The word "chalisa" is derived from "chalis", which means "40" in Hindi, as the Hanuman Chalisa has 40 verses excluding the couplets at beginning and end.

3. The Hanuman Chalisa should be recited at least once in a week (Tuesdays or Saturdays).

4. Hanuman Chalisa is a Hindu devotional hymn addressed to Hanuman ji.

5. It is recommended to recite the Chalisa 11 times (Hanuman being the 11th incarnation of Lord Shiv).
