1. We wanted a supplementary practice tool, to help guide us on track in preparation for our future coming Asian lives.
2. We'd spend weeks to build up just a hundred sentences, instead of being able to get pre-made materials with a thousand examples ready to go.
3. We wanted to simulate real conversations, to help prepare us for our real travels.
4. We've wanted to feel at ease around new Asian friends.
5. We've wanted to listen and understand our new Asian homeworld.
6. We wanted simple practice, and we wanted it to look good.
7. We'd spend so much time creating these "study decks", that we never spent time learning.
8. We wanted another means to review what we were already learning.
9. Each sentence interwoven as best as possible to fit into a semi-realistic conversation flow, as best as a mobile device's CPU could handle given all we were throwing at it.
10. It was adding only whatever words were shown at that time in that particular anime series.
11. Each of us use to sit there for hours each day, cutting sentences from anime and importing them into our flashcard app.
