Great but— a different language??

I love how accessible this made me to app’s news and keeping up-to-date, but it’s scaring me that my language setting is in Arabian. Though the news itself is in English, the settings and all are in Arabian. I don’t speak this language nor is my phone set at it, so I don’t understand why this is happening. If I can find the answer to this, it would help me a lot! ;)

It keeps turning off my music.

Running on most recent version of iOS. Always turns off whatever music I’m listening to, which is super annoying. It also sometimes randomly runs full screen ads, which is also irritating. Other than that it’s okay, I guess, although they seem to think reporting what people write on Twitter is the news.

Interrupting music and long video ads

Every time I open the app, even with no video content in site, it pauses my music immediately. Also I’ve recently started to see 15+ second video ads. As a Brit abroad, seeing image ads in the article was bad enough but this is enough to make me use a different news agency.

Thanks for BBC news!

I have always listened to app news. At the beginning it is just only hearing English. Recently I noticed that it is so important to know how many things happened around the world. Of cause I don’t catch everything still now, but I don’t want to give up!
