1. The aim of the game is to be the first player to move all pieces to the opposing corner and occupy all opponent squares.
2. Pieces can normally move forward and left by one to an empty square or hop over other pieces.
3. Where a hopping move is made, each hop must be over an adjacent piece and into the vacant square directly beyond it.
4. Pieces can move backwards and to the right only in the bounds of the opoonent's area.
5. Diagonal movements and capturing other pieces are not allowed.
6. After each hop, the player may continue by hopping over another piece.
7. A hop may be over any coloured piece including the player's.
8. A toss of coin decides which side starts the game.
