1. In Build South Dakota: The Game, a virtual pre-apprenticeship experience, the player explores the different phases of a highway construction project and uncovers the skills needed to be a Carpenter, Pile Driver, Concrete Finisher, Skilled Laborer, Heavy Equipment Operator, and Inspector.

2. Build South Dakota: The Game was funded by the Associated General Contractors of South Dakota to educate high school students on the benefits of choosing a career in construction.

3. Build South Dakota: The Game is a Future Road Builders game, developed in Partnership with the Constructors Association of Western PA and PennDOT, with funding assistance from a FWHA Ladders of Opportunities grant.

4. After exploring the vast world of Build South Dakota, players will be ready to explore several real life opportunities in highway construction.
