1. The music staff collaborates on picking the best songs, albums and artists from the great pool of talent that makes Austin the "Live Music Capital of the World." You'll be sure to discover new favorites and enjoy familiar tunes with us.

2. It doesn't matter if you're in Austin, Texas, Minnesota, Alberta or Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, the KUTX app brings the Austin Music Experience to you in a clear, digital stream.

3. No other station captures the Austin Music Experience like KUTX 98.9 FM.

4. We broadcast from the Moody College of Communication in the Belo Center for New Media on campus, bringing you the best of Austin music.

5. KUTX 98.9 Austin is a public radio station from The University of Texas.

6. We'll be turning it off this summer along with the low-bitrate streams it only supports, going back to the days when the cellular networks could barely handle 24 kbps streams.

7. Our hosts, aka DJ's, have more than 300 years on the radio combined--most of that in Austin.

8. We're providing an all digital, efficient stream using the AAC+ codec.

9. What you'll hear is a hand-curated, alternative music mix with a local twist.

10. We've thrown a couple other things in there too, but this is what our listeners have been asking for, for a long time (sorry!).

11. And if you're still using the legacy KUT app, the white one with blues and yellows, please switch to this version and delete the old one.
