1. Medical devices in interventional radiology, an application developed by Jorge Lopera, M.D & Murthy Chamarthy, M.D., provides step by step instructions on how to use the various devices during interventional radiology procedures.
2. However, we strongly believe that implementation of user friendly technology combined with real time step by step instructions will enhance the user's understanding of IR devices resulting in ease of performing various procedures.
3. The application is supported by high quality images, accompanying text, and a text to speech engine to facilitate real time use in both manual and automatic modes.
4. This cannot be construed as a sole recommendation, and one should rather refer to instructions for use and consult their local institution/representative for definitive information and clinical decision.
5. The authors plan to update the various devices as information is collected and is an on going process.
6. This application cannot substitute for years of medical education and experience.
7. Please note that these are broad guidelines based on the our experience and not necessarily endorsed by the manufacturer or any medical society.
8. The content of the application is dynamic and can be refreshed under settings to reflect the current data.
9. Various modules are available as in-app purchases.
10. Also, this is not an all-inclusive, but a pilot project and a work in progress, and therefore, subject to change.
