1. Becon doesn’t require you to physically interact with your device to send alerts when needed, so is effective in the case of accidents, assault/attacks, medical emergencies & unexpected events which leave you incapacitated, unconscious or separated from your device.
2. Becon+ has fully personalisable safety settings and provides you with the option to share journeys with your emergency contacts, as well as live location tracking following an alert.
3. If you do not respond to the check in notification by the end of the timer, then your pre-selected emergency contacts are automatically alerted via SMS, with a message containing your location and the reason for the alert.
4. AUTOMATED - you do not have to manually interact with your device to send alerts when in an unsafe moment or in need of assistance.
5. Becon is the smart safety app that uses technology to privately protect your everyday journeys & activities, including walks, runs, cycles and more.
6. The app will check in on you with a timed notification and only alerts your emergency contacts if no response is received from you by the end of the timer.
7. Tap to activate the app and Becon’s smart safety technology monitors your device until you get where you’re going safely, at which point it turns off automatically.
8. Walking journeys are protected with Becon’s free plan or you can upgrade to Becon+ to use the app to protect your runs, cycles and a range of other journey types and activities.
9. If an unusual change is detected, then a timed notification will appear on your device checking you are ok.
10. PRIVATE - there is no need to share your live location with others or notify anyone when using Becon.
11. HASSLE-FREE - Your emergency contacts do not need to download or sign-up to the app to receive alerts.
