1. The Lung Nodule Calculator (the “Calculator”) results or predictions of lung nodule cancer by the Calculator should not be taken as absolute and is NOT a substituted for a medical examination, advice, diagnosis or treatment by a certified health care provider or your family doctor.

Use for which any financial return is received shall be defined as commercial use, and includes (1) integration of all or part of the source code or the Software into a product for sale or license by or on behalf of Licensee to third parties or (2) use of the Software or any derivative of it for research with the final aim of developing software products for sale or license to a third party or (3) use of the Software or any derivative of it for research with the final aim of developing non-software products for sale or license to a third party, or (4) use of the Software to provide any service to an external organization for which payment is received.

3. The Lung Nodule Cancer Calculator (the "Software") is distributed “AS IS” under this License solely for non-commercial use.

4. This prediction calculator predict the probability that a nodule detected on computed tomography (CT) screen is malignant according to the Lung Nodule Cancer Prediction Model which was developed from data that the BC Cancer Agency Research Center has collected through years of research.

5. The Lung Nodule Calculator is NOT 100% accurate; no lung nodule cancer prediction model is perfect.

6. Therefore, British Columbia Cancer Agency (the "Creator") make clear that no condition is made or to be implied, nor is any warranty given or to be implied as to the accuracy of the Software, or that it will be suitable for any particular purpose or for use under any specific conditions.

7. The Lung Nodule Cancer Calculator is provided as a public service only.

8. It is crucial to recognize that some nodule with low predicted lung nodule cancer risk will develop lung nodule cancer, and nodule with higher lung nodule cancer risks will NOT all develop lung nodule cancer.

9. This Lung Nodule Calculator is made available to the public for non-profit/non-commercial use.

10. The permission of the Creators is not required if the said reproduction, modification, transmission or transference is done without financial return, the conditions of this License are imposed upon the receiver of the product, and all original and amended source code is included in any transmitted product.
