I was an early adopter. Mac, the iPhone, the iPad... Every upgrade, I paid for. Then, they switch to the subscription model. I love how the apps work, but why did I have to pay for all the updates? Then have to switch to the expensive subscription?

Too expensive for my needs

Not worth the $75 per year. I have been using App for 12 years and I was happy with it until they decided to get greedy and start charging $75 per year. I basically use it for my total time and hours flown in the last 6 month which I use for my 8710 form. Not worth it for me. After 13000 hours I will start guessing.

Massive Ripoff

The subscription rates for this app are absurd. $129/yr for a logbook that does nothing more than dozens of other free apps. I’ve been using App for years, and they’re constantly raising their prices. DO NOT hitch your horse to this predatory company. Please check out your free options, if you fly professionally and plan on having a 40 year aviation career, you’d pay over $5,000 for what is essentially a spreadsheet. As an Oregonian in pains me to say this about an Oregon based company, but honestly this app is worth about $20/yr TOPS. Don’t get ripped off on your logbook. Aviation is already expensive enough.

A very useful app

I have had a great experience utilizing the app. Once you get past transitioning your info from paper to electronic, it’s too easy to keep up with your log book. It eliminates the issue of properly accounting for your time as long as you log it correctly.... ie.. no addition or subtraction mistakes. Plus if you need to correct a time it is easy, no more scratching out incorrect info, no more messy looking log books. If you are just starting out flying and using a paper log only, I highly recommend getting started with electronic logs ASAP, don’t wait till you have 1500hrs of flight time and then try and catch up with an electronic log.... it’s painful if you do.
