After few hang up's intially dowloading dives (on the very first use) it now downloads fine. All the data Is there for viewing as needed so 5* for that. It not a complaint, but gets 3* overall due to basic layout. Certainly no complaints for a free app, though dropping $1000 on a PDC I should expect included software! I'd like to know what the difference between the Lite and non-Lite version is.

I don’t know what I’m more disappointed in: my Oceanic OCi (which has broken four times in two years) or the software with which it partners=DiverLogLite. Whenever I log a dive and save the file, I close the software, open it a few days later, and find random things deleted. This could be my personal information, the name of the dive sites, the dive data, etc. I contacted the company, and they said my file was corrupted. It just happens at random, and if you try to fix the corrupted file, it deletes everything (even if you backed it up). I was able to go into Time Machine and recover deleted dives, but I had to re-enter all my notes (since, for some reason, they were deleted by the software every time I opened the file). I feel like importing data from a watch should be simple at this point; why then can this software not be used to log dives? Maybe it has to do with the fact that there are two different “containers” in the archiving system, and they don’t play well with each other? Anyway, I would not recommend Oceanic computers (especially not the Oci) nor this software. I have a Suunto D4 previously. Never broke once in 10 years of diving!

The app is ok and is somewhat intuitive. I easily identified and connected my dive computer. The only frustration i'm dealing with now is not being able to import dive data from another app that only exports in UDDF or UDCF file formats.

After using this program to log over 600 hundred dives on a Oceanic Pro Plus 3 and a Oceanic Geo 2 it no longer functions as it does not recognize when the DC has been connected via the cable. This program was recommended by Oceanic yet they do not offer support. Instead they refer you to Pelagic Pressure Systems.website or their e-mail address.After 2 weeks of no response via e-mail I attempted a phone call with no luck as the women who answered the phone a zero confidence in a respones from tech support. It is unfortunate as this was a key feature i have used in recommendind Oceanic DC’s to my students. As a PADI instructor I can no longer recommend them until this issue is resolved.At this time I would not recommend this product at all as it is not working.I would not recommend any DC that uses this program as its log.

Bottom Line Up Front: This application for the Mac is unstable and unusable in its current form. The following is some detail supporting my position if you care to read further. Today is Sunday 8/26/2018. I am writing this review immediately after installing and attempting to perform some of the basic functions using this application (previously I used and liked the XP version on a PC, but that application is no longer supported). I downloaded and installed this app v1.4.2 and the USB driver. My Personal Dive Computer (PDC) is an Oceanic Model VT3 which I have owned for 10 years. My experience with this program (v1.4.2) was around 3 hours (from download) prior to writing this review. Over the course of installation and use, I restarted the program at least 6 times in an attempt to accomplish some very minor tasks, most of which I was unsuccessful at completing. 1. Basic diver personal profile data entry was relatively straighforward and uneventful. 2. Upon initial selection of PDC model VT3 and subsequent serial connection for download, the status stated something like handshake complete, then download complete, then instructed to disconnect PDC. No records actually downloaded. After quitting the application, then relaunching it, I ran through the same download procedures. This time the record download actually started showing a progress bar. After indicating the download was complete, a check of the records showed only 50 of the 107 records were actually transferred. I didn’t proceed any further to try to figure out why only half the records downloaded. 3. I then attempted to create a new divelog for my wife and her VT3 PDC. I was able to create a new divelog file, but was unable to download any records from her PDC. After connecting her PDC via USB to the laptop running this program, the program never acknowledged there was a PDC connected. I attempted several times quitting the program, relaunching and re-attempting a USB connection, but was unsuccessful at getting the program to recognize there was PDC connected. After the USB connection problem, I stopped trying to use this program. It is really disappointing that this key software is so poorly executed. I have to agree with many of the other 1 star reviewers, a 1 star rating is overly generous since the basic functions of the application don’t work. I did not and will not pay for the full version unless it can be proven that it actually works, does what it’s supposed to do, and does it reliably. Very disappointed, I expected a lot more. I share in the frustration with all the other 1 star reviewers that tried this or earlier versions.
