Simple

For simple tasks is perfect. It maintains a couple of branches and it handles commits, pull, pushs, mergers, whitout the need of the command line.

Okay for simple tasks, not compatible with iCloud Drive

Apparently the developer keeps deleting my review. But this app is NOT really compatible with storing git checkouts on iCloud Drive because it keeps computing diffs wrong as a result of that. It's reasonably useful other than that but just a bit stale.

Good & simple Git GUI w/ bugs

I’ve been using this app for 5 years now. It’s good. It gets the job done. And it’s very simple to use. BUT it hasn’t been updated since 2012, so there are bugs with it. It will crash. And if you have loads of branches, it will be constantly working on refreshing and eating up computer resources, which is unfortunate because it’s a great program. That all being said, I still use it daily for > 90% of my git work, bugs and all.

Issues with Remote Branches

I’ve used app for many years. However, I’ve noticed some issues. 1) Deleting remote branches via the interface doesn’t appear to work. 2) Sometimes the remote tracked branch displayed in the interface doesn’t match Git on the command line. Additionally, resetting the remote via the interface sometimes doesn’t stick. I prefer using app, but I fear I may have to switch to another tool or just use the CLI.

Feels incomplete...

I went to go check in my project to a bare repository I use for all of my devices as I am a student and require the ability to use any device to code. I go to add 25 files (not even scratching this project I am tackling) and I cannot add all files at once to push. I have to tick each one at a time. So what happens if I check out a 100 file project in a few months. Every day I have to tick each file I want to check out and in…I am very happy I spent no money on this.
