2. Looking for a way to play sound clips at a theater or sporting events, as a DJ, or at other events? Don’t want to lug a computer around with you? With Sound Byte, the so-called "cart machine" used at radio stations in the past is now available for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.

3. Buy your copy of Sound Byte now, and get complete control over playback of your sound effects and other files.

4. Sound Byte supports up to 20 racks of carts, or up to 1500 recordings total (420 on the iPhone/iPod).

5. Using Sound Byte is easy - just tap a cart, and playback of the audio file begins.

6. Interactions between carts can also be controlled - touching a cart to start it can optionally cause currently playing carts to stop playback or fade out.

7. Sound Byte also plays sound files that you have installed in the Documents folder, which you can access via the iTunes app.

8. Note that sound files stored on iCloud cannot be played, they must be stored on your device.

9. Sound Byte plays sound files from your Music Library.

10. Sound Byte does not come with any sound files, you'll need to supply your own.

11. Carts that have been played can be marked as such, as well as disabled, if you only want to play a cart once.

Can no longer add

Loved, loved, loved this app. Now, I can’t add new music. It crashes every time I try to access the music library.

Upset hockey

It was awesome for till now. Now it just keeps crashing on me EVERYTIME I try to add songs. I thought maybe I needed to update. Checked it all, uninstalled and reinstalled knowing I would have to re add my songs and it still doesn’t work. Hours of planing, arranging and working on this all lost.

Love it but recent problem

Lately since the new iOS I am unable to add any more songs. The songs previously on the carts still work but there is a bug- every time I try to add a new song to the cart the app closes! Please fix because this is the best app out there for sports announcing! I’d give it a 5 otherwise if it weren’t for this recent problem

Not all as it seems

Unfortunately, after multiple attempts, I have not been able to get this app to import anything. The “set-up” FAQ is outdated or incorrect. I have repeated the recommended steps multiple times but no dice. Severely lacking detail. App does not show up in Apple settings. It seems I wasted money...which is a real bummer, as I could really use this niche product.

Don’t buy

Unfortunately with the new version of iOS SoundByte can linger access iTunes therefor you can no longer add new songs. Kinda a bummer and I don’t think they update this app anymore it was good while it lasted!
