1. This app will ONLY open the winmail.dat attachment, but for any file contained inside the winmail file you will either need the functions/default apps of your iPhone or iPad OR you'll need to install other apps to open Word, Excel, PDF, large Image files, zipped files, Audio and Video files.

2. The Winmail File Viewer app is a simple app to open winmail.dat (TNEF encoded) files, so please don’t expect it to do anything more.

4. If this app does not open your winmail.dat file, or you have any questions, doubts, or suggestions, then please contact us using the support link.

5. The solution to open non-TNEF winmail.dat file has not yet been found, though I am working on it and hopefully should be able to include it in the next app update.

6. Around 99% of winmail.dat files are created using TNEF encoding, and all the 'winmail' apps and software are able to open only these types of winmail.dat files.

7. c) An ‘Untitled Attachment’ or a ‘MIME’ file or an ‘.eml’ file is NOT a winmail.dat file, and this app should not be used to open this type of file.

8. a) Files such as just a .dat (not winmail.dat) are special data files (hence the name!), and only the software which created them can open them.

9. Sometimes there is absolutely nothing inside a winmail.dat file except some kind of formatting, fonts, AVG virus scanner info, voting buttons, email read receipts etc.

10. b) A .wmv file is NOT a winmail.dat file, even though it looks similar! It’s a ‘Windows Media Video’ file which can’t be opened with this app.

Öffnen Sie nun die von Ihnen installierte Emulator-Anwendung und suchen Sie nach seiner Suchleiste. Sobald Sie es gefunden haben, tippen Sie ein Winmail File Viewer in der Suchleiste und drücken Sie Suchen. Klicke auf Winmail File ViewerAnwendungs symbol. Ein Fenster von Winmail File Viewer im Play Store oder im App Store wird geöffnet und der Store wird in Ihrer Emulatoranwendung angezeigt. Drücken Sie nun die Schaltfläche Installieren und wie auf einem iPhone oder Android-Gerät wird Ihre Anwendung heruntergeladen. Jetzt sind wir alle fertig.

Does not work on my IPad Air

Purchased this app to open App.dat attachments but it does not work. Tried to email the address given under details, but that is no longer a working address. Help!!

Excellent Support

Wow! My App app suddenly failed to open attachments overnight & I emailed the developer for help late in the day. I was hopeful for a response sometime in in the future but was so stunned have an email in the morning from Hiren. The App was just updated the day before and he advised me to simply power off then back on...worked instantly! I use this App to open Purchase Orders from international companies & was back to work in seconds! Thank you Hiren for your unbelievable support!!

Used to work now it does not

Loved the app when it worked. Now it won't open any files. When the app tries to open a file it force closes. Going into the app itself is no help as the file is blank.
