1. HeliTach has an "Electric" mode that listens to the sound of the blades and a "Nitro/Gas" mode that listens to the engine RPM to measure headspeed.

2. HeliTach records and processes audio samples continuously until the user tells it to stop and displays the measurement with the highest value or strongest signal.

3. Set the settings for the applicable mode, press "Measure Headspeed," and set the iPhone on the ground near the helicopter.

4. I can't guarantee accurate results on all helicopters, nor can I be held responsible for personal injury or damage to your iPhone or helicopter.

5. It works by recording an audio sample of the helicopter and using an algorithm to analyze the sound of the helicopter's blades or engine.

6. The "Electric" mode can work with nitro/gas helicopters but not vice versa.

7. HeliTach is an acoustic tachometer for radio controlled helicopters.

8. IMPORTANT: Make sure HeliTach has permission to use your device's microphone.

9. It has been tested with 250, 450 and 500-size electric helicopters with success.

10. It will ask the first time it's launched, but you can also change the setting in your device's privacy settings.

Öffnen Sie nun die von Ihnen installierte Emulator-Anwendung und suchen Sie nach seiner Suchleiste. Sobald Sie es gefunden haben, tippen Sie ein HeliTach in der Suchleiste und drücken Sie Suchen. Klicke auf HeliTachAnwendungs symbol. Ein Fenster von HeliTach im Play Store oder im App Store wird geöffnet und der Store wird in Ihrer Emulatoranwendung angezeigt. Drücken Sie nun die Schaltfläche Installieren und wie auf einem iPhone oder Android-Gerät wird Ihre Anwendung heruntergeladen. Jetzt sind wir alle fertig.
Sie sehen ein Symbol namens "Alle Apps".
Klicken Sie darauf und Sie gelangen auf eine Seite mit allen installierten Anwendungen.
Sie sollten das sehen Symbol. Klicken Sie darauf und starten Sie die Anwendung.

Excellent Tach

I use this very regularly for all my helis 250-500. Sometimes it doesn’t detect but when it works it works good. Wish they would add some more features to it like, export history log or a full feature app that can save data for different aircrafts inside the app. Still a good app though $4 well spent.

Easy to use, accurate as I need, less trouble than an optical tachometer

Simple to use and dead on what the ESC logging says head speed was. 1) To use, start the app, verify the “estimated head speed” is close to what you expect, click “measure”. 2) Stand back your normal safe distance, spool up and hover for a while (I did for 10 seconds). 3) Land. Turn the Heli off and you’ll have your reading. You get both a max detected and a log of values in case you want to test different speeds. I don’t know the max distance, but I hovered about 5-10 feet in the air and it worked great!

Impressed!

Very close to rpm's calculated by Castle software. Outside windy conditions affect accuracy by 400 rpm's. Moved indoors & practically spot on. Experiment with microphone placement & blade pitch to get detection of rpm's. As long as you have a good idea of what you should expect this app is great for confirmation.

Great App! Well worth the $4

At the field, I compared this app to a 90 dollar optical tach and it was consistently within 20 rpm of the optical tach. Everyone at the field was impressed.
