Works great, buuut (it’s an Apple gotcha)

app is great and works as advertised, it’s GREAT if you’re in a “wired keyboard, secure” environment. Apple kit in general isn’t very good with “bluetooth crosstalk” and if you’re having trouble with wandering magic mouse cursors and “keys that repeat or don’t strike” apps like app will exacerbate the problem. But this isn’t on the developer. 2 Macs 3 iOS devices and no BT mouse/kb environment and app works like a champ. Well worth your money in that case. Uncle Leo says go go go.

Wanted to like it but...

It seemed to work fine for a day then I noticed that my 2012 MBP BT was showing disconnected and could on be fixed by rebooting. After loosing BT 3 times in one hour I quit the app and my BT disconnect issues were fixed. The reason for the 2 star review is the author asks that you reach out via twitter which I did days ago and no reply. Poor support or lack of right now. If the author will help i would update my rating because I really want this to work.

It Does Exist

Was wondering if someone wrote an app that acted like the Apple Watch to unlock my new iMac, and someone did! Thanks! The creator is obviously dealing with multiple complex systems (iOS and macOS) and seems very sincere about making everything work, which it does mostly, but I had to do a bit of “guesswork” to set things up. With most apps, I don’t need to read the help to make it work, but this is a fairly complicated two-app chain. Perhaps some type of automated setup could be done? Anyway, with current releases on both OSs (Catalina & 13.2), and experience with other apps, I guessed about the Accessibility setting, and that I could delete the older version of the app (not sure why it’s still on the AppStore). It will take a bit of getting used to, but congratulations on a very cool app! And, as a side benefit, I can replace my relatively simple password with a 1Password “generated” password, since I don’t have to type it in now, and FaceID protects it even more.
