Plane Finder 3D

I use two apps to search for airplanes. As a longtime licensed pilot, I’ve always been curious about what aircraft might be approaching an FAA towered airport near my ranch. One app I have always provides info to aircraft in my area (and all across the country) but app is just “plain” worthless about showing aircraft that I’m able to find on my other app.

It’s fun!

It’s too bad some airports do not allow us to see the App actually land. This is not the fault of the program but results from the “flatness” of the site of the airport. Anchorage works well, also Kansas City.

Plane Finder 3D

I find this app disappointing. The basic App finder app is much better. The basic app has 3 different map styles, and most important you have labels for towns and major roads. When the 3D app is rotating you have little idea of what is below you. The only reference to where I have in Alpharetta is that it identifies ATL. It doesn’t even identify other airports should as PDK.
