1. People who are in relationships, want to be in a relationship, would like to improve their understanding of relationship related fears, doubts and obsession.

2. In ROCD, for instance, individuals negative self-talk often relates to fear of being in the wrong relationships or/and missing the ‘right’ relationship.

3. According to Associate Professor Guy Doron and his colleague Gur Ilany, the application developed (named ‘GG Relationship’) was especially designed for dealing with relationship doubts and fears.

4. People who suffer from relationship obsession (ROCD) and would like to improve their condition by training daily.

5. According to CBT models, negative self-talk – individuals’ ongoing interpretations of the self, others and the world – maintain psychological difficulties such as obsessive preoccupation, low mood, and maladaptive behaviors.

6. - In total, 45 levels including topics such as doubt, uncertainty, regret and other relationship related statements.

7. Group 2 can use the app to better understand the various types of relationship related self-talk we all experience daily.

8. GG RO: Relationship doubt and obsession is the first of a series of apps we're launching on a new and exciting platform named GG Apps.

9. Daily training can benefit by enhancing people's ability to identify and respond to self-talk.

10. It can provide users with more information about their condition, as well as better understanding of how other people who suffer from similar doubts think and feel.

11. The app includes 15 free levels for training on some of the basic topics.

Grammar

Decent app but there’s a bunch of grammatical errors that could’ve easily been fixed. And for someone with ocd, that would’ve been PARAMOUNT to get right for an app like this.

Glitches

I was enjoying it on the first day I got the app. The next day I went in to try it but it asked for my age and the assessment again before I played. Third day, it asks for my age, then my mood, and then it just stays stuck on that screen asking for my mood.

Disagree with the first reviewer

I am a clinical psychologist and haven’t yet tried out this app but am very impressed by Dr. Doron’s pioneering work and felt it was important to voice disagreement with the first reviewer. While there are certainly many treatment models, labeling OCD thoughts (whether that’s labeling, for example, as as an obsessive thought [CBT]an emotion mind thought [DBT] or just a thought [either]), such labeling is very often considered a necessary step for ERP, particularly with obsession-dominant presentations of OCD. Again, I can’t speak yet to the app, but this point feels important.

Not good for OCD

This app is not good for someone suffering for OCD. I’m sure it has good intentions, but it does not properly use CBT. This definitely should NOT be used as an alternative for therapy; in fact, it may feed the OCD cycle for those who have it. The goal of this app is to “throw away” negative thoughts and “embrace” positive thoughts. For those of us with OCD, we should not even be labeling the thoughts. We should be accepting them for what they are- just a thought. This app is simply sliding up the negative thoughts and sliding down the positive ones. I don’t see how it can be helpful. It’s not about throwing “bad” thoughts away, it’s about sitting with the uncertainty and the anxiety.

Helpful for persistent ROCD!

This app is really helpful to remind me to be mindful of my thoughts and not believe everything my ROCD tells me — my loving boyfriend and I are very thankful and happy with it!!
