3. This app is “Platter's in your pocket", with the latest wine descriptions and ratings, plus updated winelands travel information at your fingertips.

4. Platter's app has been developed for the latest phone software versions and all features may not work on earlier versions.

5. A subscription allows access to the data for one year from date of subscription purchase, whereafter you will need to renew your subscription.

6. The app data is replaced annually at launch of the new printed guide.

7. Occasionally there may be wines that are not in the database.

8. Usually this is due to producer non-submission or wines not being ready for review by our tasters.

9. You are welcome to email us to check.

10. Users of the web-based version of the guide ( ) can log in to the app using their current Platter's username and password.

Not enough

I agree to other critics. Search function is complicated. Why not include a search field a for area (Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, etc.)? As it is now, you can really only use the location function and see what’s close. No planning though. Also, I‘d like to search for reds and whites instead of only for specific variety or red or white blends. I’m sure this could easily be improved. Would further be nice to have a map integrated or at least be able to jump to map directly. Not possible for all wineries. Related to what I said above. Room for improvement!

Not user friendly

Not very good

I thought I will give it another try. Was disappointed in 2012 but 5 years later, who knows. So there is no sample or trial period. You have paid and are dissatisfied again. Why is it so complicated to have all ratings of a wine maker. Example: Kleine Zalze Family Reserve 2012. 5 stars in 2016. Is not on the list anymore. Why not? So do you trust this app? Not really. Disappointed again.
